Ahmadinejad seems ready, but are we?

Judging from the cocksureness of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the empire of Muslim fanatics he seems to head thinks it has put together an ultimate weapons system.
Figuring out the response has Washington, Tel Aviv, London and other Free World capitals busy – we hope – especially in light of news last week of the thwarted plot to bomb airliners bound from London to the United States.
The Islamo-fascist tree has five branches: suicide bombers; militias grown to such proportions that they are states within states; the non-Geneva Convention idea of hiding terrorists and their military positions behind civilian populations; and the notion that a nuclear hole card or even the threat of getting one will neuter all but the staunchest opposition.
The fifth branch can be added by combining imbedded terrorists in target countries and a “hate-America” brigade of international journalists.
The good news is that the West seems, at last, to be waking to the threat. In Great Britain and the United States, the pussy-footing and political correctness seems to have stopped. Muslim terrorists are now being called Muslim terrorists, and that’s progress.
Getting suicide bombers presents no problem. The crescent of Muslim fanaticism stretches through the Middle East into Southeast Asia with some hot pockets in Europe. It seems able to supply endless numbers of willing religious fanatics ready to kill and die.
For years, they were a specialty of the Arab World, striking long and hard at Israel. But the idea is exportable, as Iraq and Lebanon have learned. The effectiveness of suicide bombers is now enshrined in the radical Muslim playbook.
Modern day high school and university students would spot the idea behind Muslin militia power were they as well drilled on Hitler’s rise to power in Nazi Germany as they obviously are on political correctness and the non-relevant Vietnam War.
Control of the streets was the key to Hitler’s ascent to power. The tactic either eliminates the other parties, converts their members, or kills them. The so-called “brown shirts” were the militia of that day on the streets of Berlin and Munich. They proved lethally effective, first chasing the communist gangs from the streets, then hounding and/or killing the Jews of Germany or sending them to concentration camps for extermination.
About most of the American students mentioned above, our bet is that had they any notion of how killer nation states have formed in the past – a la Stalin in the old Soviet Union and Hitler in Germany – they would be would be running into the streets, shouting, “My God, somebody, do something, wake up!
Sadly, many people seem never to awake before it is too late. They didn’t in Germany and the Islamo-fascists are counting on the fact that they won’t today. Luckily a few today are starting to awake.
